The Technical Coordinator will work closely with the field technicians and customers to provide technical support and coordination for our U.S. client's network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of network technologies and be able to coordinate with multiple teams to ensure the effective delivery of network & technical services.
Technical Capability - Requires a strong set of technical skills across networking technologies,
LAN/WAN, switching, routing, and cabling amongst others, and you will ideally be Cisco certified.
Process - Creating and documenting technical processes, ensuring that processes are followed, and
identifying areas for process improvement.
Service Levels - Ensuring that technical systems are functioning correctly and resolving technical.
issues in a timely manner. Also responsible for coordinating with other technical staff to ensure service level agreements are met.
Project Work - Collaborating with project teams to ensure technical requirements are met,
monitoring project timelines, and reporting on project progress.
Customer Relations - As a customer relations representative or TC, you will be responsible for
responding to customer inquiries and addressing their concerns in a timely and effective manner.
Problem-Solving -Troubleshooting and resolving issues that customers may be facing. Engages with
third parties to jointly resolve in-depth product issues where necessary. Proactively analyzes.
information and trends, proposing action to resolve problems, and maintaining and enhancing service.
Teamwork Work -team members, work closely with other team members to ensure that.
technical projects are delivered on time. This may involve team meetings, contributing to
discussions, assisting field technicians, and communicating progress updates.
Business Awareness - Understands the requirements of the customer's business and the scope of
the contract and knows how issues impact the delivery of service.
Professional Development - Stays up to date with new products, tools, and techniques,
encouraging their use within the business to promote continuous improvement. Enrolled in
technical training/certifications to receive promotion opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Proven experience in 1st/2nd line support roles with user and system support experience and the
ability to effectively self-manage time and prioritize support tickets based on the type and severity of the reported incident. - Hands-on experience in supporting routers, and Cisco switches with knowledge and understanding of network best practices. Cisco CCNA certification is desirable.
- Provide technical assistance to end-users and other stakeholders as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of the network infrastructure and ensure that all stakeholders have access to it.
- Have a successful track record of participating in small projects and working with third parties to
deliver technical services. - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- 1-2 years of experience in network support or technical coordination.
- Solid understanding of network technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Cisco Switches, Routers, and network cabling.
- Must be willing and flexible with shifting work schedules and rest days as well as working overtime as required.
- Extensive knowledge of the Office 365 Suite including Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Word & Excel.
- Cisco CCNA certification would be an added advantage to performing this role. Candidate must be willing to gain this certification to receive promotion opportunities.
