About the job VP of Revenue
The vice president of revenue will report to the company's CEO and be responsible for all revenue-generating processes. As the Vice President of Revenue, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by identifying new channels of revenue, spearheading new business efforts, and expanding relationships with existing clients. You will sit on our Leadership Team and collaborate with other leaders to drive our revenue strategy and further solidify us as a leader in the SFR industry. This role will own our go-to-market strategy and manage our revenue lifecycle with a holistic and growth-centric mindset.
Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership - You have been both an IC and leader in the sales world. Ideally with a mix of both new & existing client experience, you know how to bring in new clients and strengthen relationships with existing ones.
- Revenue Development - You'll be developing and executing the company's revenue strategy. You've previously led or played a key role in this function and you know where to start.
- New Business - You have experience overseeing sales planning, pipeline management, reporting & forecasting, developing team KPIs & comp plans, and improving new logo acquisition rates.
- Multi-functional Leadership - Managing and streamlining multiple functions isn't new to you. You know how to eliminate barriers within revenue operations and ensure effectiveness across a multitude of departments.
- Go-to-Market Expertise - You'll spearhead our go-to-market strategy, regularly conducting market research and competitive analysis. You've overseen this before and know the best approach.
- Marketing Knowledge - This may have been your full focus in a previous role, a function that you worked closely with in a cross-functional capacity or a department you managed. You're comfortable exploring, creating, and delivering value to meet the needs of your target market.
- Building and Scaling - You've effectively built and scaled teams.
- Market Insight - You're used to keeping up with emerging industry trends, competitors activities, and product developments and understand the importance of data-driven decisions when it comes to revenue.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 10 to 15 years of experience working in similar role at scaling startups
- Master's from Top tier university
- Strong understanding of broadcasting, marketing, promotion and collection standards.
- Experience working on turn around and find new revenue opportunities.
- Excellent leadership and coaching ability; can successfully coach others in sales practices.
- Deep understanding of local markets, customers and competitors in order to target needs and drive sales.
- Adept at creating productive, long-term customer relationships.
- Excellent ability to organize, prioritize and multitask.
- Can push self and others to achieve and excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent business and people decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and collaboration with others.
