Main Responsibilities:

Ability to guarantee the feasibility of commercial requests (volumes, mix, etc..) based on industrial capacity and boundaries;

To develop and to implement new packaging solutions according to Logistic and Production needs;

Define new standards and implement Transport Process Projects in order to improve the efficiency ;

Ability to define logistic parameters both for direct and indirect materials according to assembly lines features/constrains in a plant/warehouse/depot;

Ability to elaborate with Quality and Production Supervisors the best designed packaging layout in order to ensure the Quality and integrity of the end product and to reduce the number of scraps;

Knowledge, development and implementation of transport and distribution procedures in order to optimize resources, to priorities spending, and to achieve volume, timeliness, reliability, and safety standards;

Responsible for overseeing the inventory management process, defining departmental strategies for appropriate inventory levels, eliminating obsolete and off-spec material, and reduce aging material;

Ability to ensure the analysis of packaging modalities.

Planning:

Ability to use reports and metrics which analyze opportunities for savings and improvements, shipment frequencies & issues, claims issues and customer/supplier routing efficiencies;

Ability to elaborate industrial planning and ensure the material planning definition based on production plan and Bill of Materials;

Ability to cooperate with functional or operational area managers for what concerns transport scheduling with the current and anticipated demand for product;

Ability to calculate the best trades in order to optimize logistic flow and be able to analyze the plan in order to find more efficient material flows method in terms of manpower handling;

Rolling forecast planning.

Storage System Management

Overall control of logistics planning team. Responsible for ensuring production schedules are levelled and achievable and reliably match the supply of raw materials and components from external suppliers into the plant;

Define logistic parameters both for direct and indirect materials according to assembly lines features/constrains in a plant/warehouse/depot;

Responsible of daily warehouse performance like inbound quota, outbound quota, shipping Quality and claims quota daily review and Maintenance of KPIs,

Overall accountability for ensuring the SAP master data required for production and supplier schedules is fully accurate;

To manage rules conformity audits and to take necessary counteraction.

Masterdata & BOM

Data accuracy and Maintenance;

Proper management of BOM correctness and correct parameters attribution; • Reactiveness and precision in managing BOM of product launches.

Cost Management & Budgeting Skills

Create, manage and achieve the overall logistics and customer service department budgets;

Critical reading of indicators regarding the cost of auxiliary materials (costs of Maintenance, costs of indirect materials, costs of scrap,...); • Contribution to the definition of the Plant budget and budget of the Logistics;

Establish monthly KPI’s to measure performance and set goals to improve service, cost and processes.

Safety, Norms & Procedures Management

Ensure compliance with laws and regulations regarding transportation, including hazardous materials;

Ability to ensure that fleet vehicles are maintained and driven in accordance with relevant regulations, laws, and standards;

Evaluation of Maintenance interventions in terms of safety - evaluates whether the materials and equipment are in compliance with safety rules; • Planning and performing of the safety inspection on lifts, hoists, lifting units, cranes and other specific means of transport of materials;

Knowledge and evaluation of observing the norms regarding the waste treatment, storage and disposal and scraps in general.
