Van Steel is seeking a talented Sales Engineer to join our team in Basra City. As a Sales Engineer, you will be instrumental in driving sales and providing technical support to our valued customers in the construction industry.

Location: Basra City, Iraq

Salary range : 1,500,000 - 2,250,000 IQD



Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients in the steel industry. Understand their needs, address concerns, and provide customized solutions to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Technical Expertise: Leverage your deep understanding of steel products, manufacturing processes, and industry trends to effectively communicate the features and benefits of our offerings. Provide technical guidance and support to customers in selecting the most suitable steel solutions for their projects.
  •  Sales Support: Collaborate closely with the sales team to develop and implement sales strategies. Assist in lead generation, proposal development, and contract negotiations. Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value proposition of Van Steel products. 
  •  Market Analysis: Stay informed about market dynamics, competitor activities, and emerging trends in the steel industry. Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and market segments for expansion.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project details. Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, prices and customer feedback to support decision-making and strategic planning.


    Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in technical sales with 5 years experience, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiar with using Microsoft Office.
