Mission Overview:

Keystone Solutions is seeking a Freelance Data Compliance Expert for a consultancy mission supporting our client, a public agency, on a large-scale data governance and compliance program. This is a freelance assignment operating under Keystone Solutions? consultancy model, with a hybrid setup based in Brussels, and a contract until 30/06/2028. As a Keystone Solutions consultant, you will deliver the responsibilities below while collaborating closely with the client?s stakeholders.


Consultancy Nature of Work:

As a Keystone Solutions consultant, you will work on-site at the client?s Brussels location at least two days per week, complemented by remote work. You will represent Keystone Solutions in all interactions, delivering advisory, implementation, and continuous improvement services within the client?s environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the review, redesign, and implementation of data privacy and compliance processes
  • Support the selection and implementation of a data governance and compliance tool, including involvement in the RFP process
  • Strengthen data compliance management activities across the organization
  • Work closely with stakeholders including CISO, DPO, Risk teams, and the broader data privacy community
  • Contribute to initiatives related to data protection, governance, and regulatory compliance


Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in GDPR-related projects within large organizations
  • Proven expertise in several of the following areas:
    • Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
    • Data Governance and Data Compliance
    • Data Security
    • Privacy-by-design and Data Retention
    • Regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, NIS2, and EU AI Act
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical solutions
  • Experience working with or implementing data compliance tools is an advantage
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills


Requirements:

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in Data Compliance, GRC, or related domains
  • DPO certification (IAPP, ISACA, or equivalent) is required
  • Additional certifications such as ISO 27001 or similar are considered a plus


Languages:

  • Professional fluency in English (minimum B2)
  • Fluency in Dutch and/or French required (both languages preferred at professional level)


Location & Work Setup:

  • Hybrid role with at least 2 days per week on-site in Brussels
