About the job Database Engineer

Key Responsibilities
As a Keystone Solutions consultant, you will:
- Install and configure new database servers.
- Manage and resolve incidents and requests related to Linux-based servers.
- Conduct performance audits, troubleshooting, and create detailed reports.
- Ensure server monitoring and take proactive actions to prevent incidents.
- Perform regular updates for database servers and implement efficient backup and restore processes.
- Participate in the design of infrastructure for new solutions and perform server migrations to manage obsolescence.
- Lead initiatives to improve performance and service quality proactively.
- Provide monthly reporting on system status, tickets, and undertaken actions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all related infrastructure.
You will also be expected to take ownership during major incidents, lead complex troubleshooting efforts, and manage planning and timelines effectively.
Required Skills and Expertise
You will work across diverse database engines, requiring expertise in:
- DB Engines:
- Ansible Deployment
- MariaDB
- Microsoft Azure Cloud (DB-oriented)
- MongoDB
- MSSQL Enterprise (up to 2022, High Availability setups)
- MySQL
- Oracle Database (versions 11.2 to 19c)
- Oracle KVM
- PostgreSQL (including clustering)
- SQL Anywhere (Sybase)
- Additional Competencies:
- Update Management
- Veeam Backup Agent Integration (Intermediate level)
- Familiarity with OS environments for hosting DBs: Linux and Windows
- Knowledge of Python is advantageous.
Certification Requirements
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certified Architect Professional
- Oracle Autonomous Database Cloud Certified Specialist
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certified Architect Associate
- Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional
- EDB Certified Associate - Postgres Advanced Server
Language Proficiency
- Dutch or French: Native or bilingual proficiency.
- English: Professional working proficiency.
Additional Requirements
- Availability to respond to on-call alerts and provide immediate intervention.
- Ability to document and lead Root Cause Analyses (RCA).
- Willingness to work on-site at least two days per week.
- Experience in the public sector is a plus.
