Subject Matter Expert Facility Management Consultant

Mission Overview:

The Subject Matter Expert FAC role is a consultancy mission at the client site, representing Keystone Solutions. As a Keystone Solutions consultant, you will contribute to the optimization of technical infrastructures in tertiary buildings, supporting innovation and energy transition initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Modernize electrical and data systems (lighting, automation, IT networks).
• Develop reporting and visualization tools for performance monitoring.
• Prepare for upskilling in industrial automation (PLC, KNX) and graphical interfaces (BMS, dashboards).

Function Description:

• Technical support and development of digital solutions for electrical and data infrastructures, with a progressive focus on industrial automation and graphical interface design.
• Data analysis for consumption optimization.
• Creation and transfer of technical alarms based on received information (energy, contacts, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting & Data Analysis: Data collection and structuring, extraction and cleaning, automation of standardized reports, creation of dynamic dashboards, collaboration with IT teams to integrate data from existing BMS systems.
• Technical Support Electricity & Data: Smart lighting, data networks and cabling.
• Upskilling in Automation & Graphical Solutions: Internal training, interface development, innovative projects.

Language Requirements:

• Dutch: Passive understanding or willingness to learn.
• French: Fluent – native level.
• English: Technical reading (documentation).

Education:

• Bachelor in IT, electromechanics, or equivalent with a strong interest in smart buildings.

Travel:

• Belgium

Telework:

• Mandatory presence in the office (Brussels) for the first 3–4 months, then up to 50% telework possible.

Required Experience / Knowledge:

• 1–2 years in business intelligence, IT networks, or technical data management (internship or first job).

Technical Experience (Mandatory):

• Mastery of SQL (queries, joins) and Python (Pandas, Matplotlib).
• Experience with Power BI or equivalent tools (Tableau, Grafana).
• Basic knowledge of IT networks (VLAN, IP, switches).
• Strong interest in tertiary electrical systems (lighting, automation).
• Understanding of energy consumption and data management challenges.

Business Experience (Mandatory):

• MS Office (advanced Excel), Visio/AutoCAD (reading diagrams).
• Basic knowledge of cloud (Azure/AWS) and APIs for data integration (a plus).

Soft Skills:

• Problem analysis and resolution: Ability to translate business needs into simple technical solutions.
• Autonomy and rigor: Precise management of repetitive tasks (reporting).
• Team spirit: Collaboration with various technical profiles (electricians, IT specialists).
• Technical curiosity: Willingness to learn automation (KNX, PLC) and graphical interfaces.
• Good communication skills.
