Senior Scrum Master Consultant

Mission Overview:

This is a consultancy mission at a client site, where you will represent Keystone Solutions as a Scrum Master. As a Keystone Solutions consultant, you will be hired to work on client projects, bringing your expertise and our values to every engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the key reference in projects following agile frameworks, such as Scrum, ensuring the global understanding of the methodology by the Project Team and helping the team maximize project results.
• Protect the team from internal and external distractions and ensure the proper use and application of Agile Methodology.
• Coach the Project Team, business lines, and stakeholders, explaining which interactions with the team are helpful and which are not.
• Set up and facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-up, Sprint Review, Sprint Planning, Retrospective) and other meetings.
• Schedule and follow the key steps of the methodology.
• Guarantee a smooth use of the Scrum methodology and help the Project Team face any obstacles.
• Provide assistance or support to the Product Owner concerning the Product Backlog.
• Assist and support the team in the delivery of the Definition of Done (DoD), Sprint Backlog, etc.
• Track team capacity and velocity metrics for planning and progress purposes.
• Ensure that the agile techniques used by the squad (Scrum or Kanban) are the most efficient, understood, and enacted.
• Act as a servant-leader for the Squad, shielding the squad from interruptions and maximizing the value created by the Squad.
• Define and update the Squad Strategy with Squad members.
• Coach, challenge, and protect the squad.
• Track squad capacity and velocity metrics for planning and improvement purposes.
• Sponsor continuous improvement by identifying related tasks and focusing on smooth acceptance and delivery by the squad.
• Resolve Squad-level impediments (risks, issues, etc.).
• Engage in active internal and external stakeholders’ interaction.
• Maintain relationships with third-party providers in close collaboration with Cluster Scrum Master and Asset Management, when applicable.
• Work in cross-functional agile teams where all required disciplines are represented, and team members are expected to contribute to other disciplines as needed to reach sprint goals.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience as a Squad Scrum Master.
• Mandatory technical experience: knowledge of agile reporting and follow-up tools (e.g. Rally), sound knowledge of software development methodology, and project management methodology.
• Preferable technical experience: working with a package solution is a serious plus; understanding of tooling on automated unit testing, automated functional testing, and continuous integration tooling.
• Mandatory business experience: proven on-the-field delivery experience, knowledge of the Payments domain, and knowledge of agile methodology and techniques (e.g. Kanban).
• Soft skills: adaptability and flexibility, ability to manage complex environments and stakeholders, good team player, stress resistance, strategic vision, effective communication, empathy and patience, curiosity, and motivation to learn and self-improve.
• Language requirements: English (fluent); knowledge of Dutch and French is a plus.
• Limited travel to Paris may be required.
• Expectation: 50% on site and 50% homeworking.
