What Youll Do

Lead the electrical design and development of next-generation medical devices from concept through launch.

Own schematic design, PCB layout, requirements definition, system integration, and verification testing activities.

Drive design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-quality (DFQ) initiatives to ensure scalable, cost-effective production.

Ensure all designs comply with regulatory standards, including IEC 60601-1 safety and EMC requirements.

Collaborate with mechanical, software, manufacturing, and quality teams to integrate system designs effectively.

Interface with regulatory, clinical, and marketing stakeholders to align design intent with end-user and business needs.

Partner with external testing agencies to coordinate global compliance and product certification.

Support continuous improvement efforts related to cost reduction, reliability, and overall product performance.
What Youll Bring
Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field

Proven experience designing electronics for regulated products (medical device experience highly preferred)

Solid understanding of design controls, verification/validation practices, and risk management principles

Demonstrated ability to design for manufacturability, quality, and reliability

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in structured problem-solving and DOE methodologies

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including documentation and technical reporting

Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
Preferred Experience
-
Proficiency with Altium Designer or equivalent ECAD software

Familiarity with FDA QSR (21 CFR 820), EU MDR 2017/745, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and related standards

Understanding of injection molding and manufacturing processes for electronic assemblies

Experience using SolidWorks or comparable 3D CAD software for mechanical interface collaboration
