We are a small but mighty firm that values integrity, innovation, and hands-on collaboration seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to join our growing transportation department.
What You'll Do:
Lead and coordinate traffic and transportation engineering projects across state, municipal, and private sectors
Perform and review traffic impact studies, parking studies, and signal warrant analysesDesign traffic signals, intersections, and roadways; prepare highway occupancy permit applications
Oversee field staff conducting traffic data collection and regulatory reviews
Analyze traffic flow and volumes using tools such as SYNCHRO, HCS, and AutoCAD/MicroStation
Write and review technical reports; contribute to proposal development and budget estimates
Coach and guide junior staff, interns, and engineers on assigned projects
Perform occasional field inspections and assist with permitting and planning reviews
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and quality project delivery
Must-Have Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering

10+ years of relevant experience in traffic/transportation engineering

Professional Engineer (PE) License (Pennsylvania preferred)

Proficiency with SYNCHRO, HCS, MUTCD, Microsoft Office, and Bentley MicroStation

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience working with PennDOT methods, policies, and standards

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and coach junior staff
Preferred Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in traffic design, signal design, parking studies, and roadway planning

Experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation

Strong leadership, accountability, and organizational skills
