Job Summary
The Security Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the effective management of all security operations within the organization. This role involves coordinating daily activities, responding to incidents, managing security personnel, and maintaining compliance with security policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily security operations, including patrolling, monitoring, and managing access control systems.
- Ensure that all security equipment (e.g., CCTV, alarms, access control systems) is operational and properly maintained.
- Monitor security systems, promptly responding to alarms and incidents.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for security incidents, emergencies, and breaches.
- Investigate security incidents thoroughly and compile detailed, actionable reports.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols in alignment with company and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Ensure organizational compliance with legal and company security standards.
- Oversee and coordinate the activities of security personnel, including scheduling, training, and evaluating performance.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance the skills and awareness of security staff and employees.
- Ensure all security personnel adhere to established policies and procedures.
- Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders, including employees, management, and external partners.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive security reports to senior management.
- Maintain accurate records of security activities, incidents, and investigations for reference and analysis.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminology, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in security operations, including supervisory or coordination roles. Candidates with a background in the military or law enforcement are strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in using security equipment and systems (CCTV, access control, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact with diverse teams and external stakeholders professionally.
- Attention to detail and strong observational skills.
- Crisis management and conflict resolution capabilities.
- Integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information.
- Adaptability to dynamic and challenging situations.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and night shifts, as required.
- Ability to travel within operational sites as necessary.
