Behavioral Health RN Job Details:

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The contract is for an initial period of one year, with the possibility of extension based on performance and facility needs.

Job Description:

KD-Staffing is seeking a compassionate and dedicated RN to join our team as a Behavioral Health Unit - Registered Nurse. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with mental health and behavioral disorders. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess and develop individualized treatment plans, administer medications, and provide education and support to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health and behavioral needs

- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team

- Administer medications and monitor patients for potential side effects and adverse reactions

- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options

- Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients

- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff

- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the delivery of high-quality care

Qualifications:

- Active RN license in the state of Nevada

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a behavioral health setting

- BLS certification

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

- Knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment modalities

- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
