Position Overview:

The Director of Pharmacy will oversee and manage all aspects of the pharmacy department in a healthcare facility in Elko, NV. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy operations, staff management, and budget management. This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage all pharmacy operations, including dispensing, inventory management, and compliance with state and federal regulations

- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective pharmacy operations

- Manage and lead a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication use for patients

- Monitor and analyze pharmacy financials, including budgets, expenses, and revenue

- Maintain and update pharmacy software systems and technology

- Stay current on industry trends and regulations, and make recommendations for process improvements

- Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations related to pharmacy operations

- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment for pharmacy staff

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution

- Active pharmacy license in the state of Nevada

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmacy operations, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role

- Strong knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

- Proficiency in pharmacy software and technology

- Strong leadership and team management skills

- Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals

- Experience with budget management and financial analysis
