Job Summary
We are seeking an Electrical Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for hands on coordination of electrical construction for a utility scale solar array and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in the South GA area. You will work on site supporting the client's construction team, overseeing electrical contractor labor, verifying installation quality, and supporting integration with existing generation resources. This is a long term assignment expected to run through November 2028, typically working 5×10s with possible 6×10s.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily electrical construction activities for solar arrays and BESS installation in the field
- Monitor electrical contractor labor, production, and materials against contract scope and schedule
- Inspect installations for compliance with drawings, specifications, NEC, and safety requirements
- Track and document daily progress, labor hours, punch list items, and field issues
- Support testing, commissioning, and energization activities, including tie-ins with existing generation and substation equipment
- Review drawings and RFIs, and help resolve field conflicts with engineering and contractors
- Participate in daily safety briefings and enforce site safety, LOTO, and NFPA 70E practices
- Communicate site status and issues to the client construction lead
Qualifications & Skills
- Hands on experience with utility scale BESS installation or commissioning (strongly preferred)
- Utility scale solar construction experience (preferred)
- Working knowledge of MV and DC systems, inverters, transformers, grounding, and cable terminations
- Experience coordinating or inspecting contractor work on construction sites
- Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction tools
- OSHA 30 and NFPA 70E training preferred
Required Education and Experience
Candidates must meet one of the following qualifications:
- Journeyman electrician license or completed electrical apprenticeship, plus 3+ years of utility scale solar, BESS, or power generation construction experience
- Associate's degree in electrical technology or a related field, plus 3+ years of relevant field experience
- 5+ years of hands on electrical construction, QA/QC, or commissioning experience on utility scale energy or power plant projects
Required Abilities and Skills
Candidates must demonstrate the following:
- Ability to work on site full time, 5×10s with possible 6×10s, through November 2028
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one lines, and specifications
- Strong documentation and daily reporting habits
- Clear communication with contractors, engineers, and client staff
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather and walk large construction sites
