German Speaking Customer Specialist – Mobile Payment Systems

Job Overview

We are seeking a tech-savvy and customer-oriented German Speaking Customer Specialist to join an international leader in outsourced customer service. In this role, you will support Europe's leading mobile point-of-sale (mPOS) platform, which enables small merchants and businesses to accept card payments anywhere using their smartphones. This position offers the flexibility of a 100% remote work setup from any location within Portugal.

Location & Work Mode

  • Country: Portugal
  • Work Mode: Work From Home (Full-time remote position based anywhere nationwide in Portugal).

Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality omni-channel customer support to merchants via phone, email, chat, and social media channels.
  • Assist business clients with onboarding, product usage, device setup, and general operational service inquiries.
  • Actively contribute to the optimization of customer service workflows to consistently increase merchant satisfaction and platform retention.
  • Collaborate closely with internal cross-functional business units, including the Sales and Marketing departments.
  • Systematically analyze, research, and troubleshoot transaction errors or hardware issues with persistence and curiosity.

Your Qualifications

  • Language Proficiency: Excellent written and spoken German (C1 level) paired with a fluent command of English (B2 level).
  • Technical Aptitude: Enthusiastic and skilled in technology applications; highly comfortable navigating smartphones, tablets, computers, and modern backend support tools.
  • Core Competencies: Communicative, easy-going, patient, organized, and capable of keeping a cool head during high-volume or stressful scenarios.
  • Service Mindset: A customer-first attitude that prioritizes friendly, thorough, and high-quality solutions.
  • Experience (Preferred): Prior experience within a contact center, customer service, or technical helpdesk setting is preferred.

Shifts & Working Hours

  • Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week, 8 hours per day).
  • Operational Shift Window: Monday to Sunday, between 08:00 and 19:00.

Salary, Bonuses & Benefits

  • Base Salary: €1,100 Gross x 14 months per year.
  • Bonuses: Performance-based incentive bonus structure.
  • Meal Allowance: €7.23 per working day (loaded onto a dedicated meal card).
  • Contract Type: Unlimited (permanent) contract.
  • Health Coverage: Private medical insurance included (Health insurance available from Day 1 for a nominal fee, becoming completely free after 6 months of employment).
  • Environment: Access to continuous professional guidance, specialized software tools, and a dynamic, creative team atmosphere.

Relocation Support

  • For Candidates Outside Portugal:

    • Sourcing and placement in a room within a company-managed apartment in Lisbon for 12 months at a fixed, subsidized cost of €280 per month (deducted directly from your salary).
    • Reimbursement of your inbound flight ticket up to €400 (paid out on the 6th month of employment).
  • For Candidates Inside Portugal:

    • The accommodation option is strictly reserved for applicants transitioning directly to the company from an immediate industry competitor.
