German Speaking Customer Support Specialist – Rent-a-Car

Job Overview

We are seeking a customer-focused German Speaking Customer Support Specialist to join an international rent-a-car project managed by a leading global customer experience provider. In this role, you will assist clients with vehicle reservations, booking modifications, cancellations, and billing or payment inquiries. This position offers a 100% remote work structure from any location within Portugal.

Location & Work Mode

  • Country: Portugal
  • Work Mode: Work From Home (Full-time remote position based anywhere nationwide in Portugal).

Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming customer inquiries efficiently through email, phone, and written messaging platforms.
  • Assist customers with end-to-end car rental management, including processing bookings, handling cancellations, and resolving billing discrepancies.
  • Answer specific questions regarding vehicle options, fleet availability, rental terms, and insurance coverages.
  • Gather, verify, and input customer data accurately into corporate reservation systems.
  • Process contact requests promptly while maintaining high brand standards and professionalism.
  • Consistently deliver high-quality, solution-oriented support to ensure positive customer experiences.

Your Qualifications

  • Language Proficiency: Fluent or native-level German (C1-C2 level). Good operational English skills are generally required for internal communication.
  • Core Competencies: Strong verbal and written communication skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and an empathetic approach to customer care.
  • Technical Literacy: Basic computer literacy with the ability to navigate digital platforms, reservation software, and multi-screen tools.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable handling multiple customer interactions simultaneously within a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience (Preferred): Prior experience in customer support, travel agencies, hospitality, or contact center environments is preferred.

Shifts & Working Hours

  • Schedule: Full-time hours with two days off per week (including one rotational day off).
  • Operational Shift Frames:

    • Monday to Friday: 07:00 – 20:00
    • Saturday: 08:00 – 16:00
    • Sunday: 08:00 – 17:00

Salary, Bonuses & Benefits

  • Base Salary: €1,030 Gross x 14 months per year.
  • Performance Bonus: Monthly performance-based incentive of up to €120.
  • Meal Allowance: €7.23 (Net) per working day.
  • Weekend Bonus: An additional €30.00 variable bonus for every weekend shift worked.
