Healthcare Assistant – Opportunities Across Ireland

Location: Nationwide, Ireland (Relocation Required)

Kats Recruitment is currently seeking dedicated Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to join well-established private healthcare providers across Ireland, including nursing homes, residential care, and disability services. These roles offer a stable, long-term career path for candidates committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care.

Strict Requirements & Experience

To be considered for these roles, you must strictly meet the following criteria:

• Minimum Experience: 
  • General Care: 6 to 18 months of formal or informal experience in elderly care, respite, or palliative care.
  • Specialized Care: For disability and autism services, a minimum of 3+ months of specific condition-related experience is required.
• Nationality & Eligibility:
  • EU/UK Passport Holders Only: Most current vacancies are strictly for those with a valid EU or UK passport.
• Qualifications: 
  • A healthcare qualification equivalent to Irish QQI Level 5 (European EQF 4) in Healthcare Support is required.
• Driving License: A Full Manual Driving License is advantage, not mandatory for some of the placements

Salary & Benefits

• Salary Range: €14.15 – €16.50 per hour (depending on experience and role).
• Premium Rates: Additional pay for Sundays, Night shifts, and Public Holidays.
• Relocation Package: Reimbursement for flights (typically up to €300–€500) and accommodation support/deposits.
• Support: Full end-to-end relocation assistance, including airport transfers and accommodation sourcing.
• Relocation: This position is based in Ireland (locations include Dublin, Cork, Wicklow, and more). Candidates must be willing and able to relocate.
