About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and customer-oriented Dutch-Speaking Customer Service Representative to join an international team in Lisbon, Portugal, supporting a well-established insurance company. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for Dutch-speaking customers, guiding them through insurance-related queries and ensuring they receive clear, accurate, and empathetic assistance at every step.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound customer contacts via phone, email, and/or chat from Dutch-speaking clients regarding insurance products, policies, and claims
  • Provide accurate and timely information on coverage, policy terms, and general insurance queries
  • Assist customers through the claims process, ensuring a smooth and professional experience
  • Identify customer needs and escalate complex cases to the appropriate specialist teams when necessary
  • Ensure consistently high levels of customer satisfaction across all interactions
  • Accurately maintain records of all customer contacts and interactions in the CRM system
  • Stay up to date with product knowledge, policy updates, and internal procedures

Requirements

  • Fluent Dutch (C1/C2 level) — spoken and written
  • Proficient level of English
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine empathy for customers
  • Ability to handle sensitive customer situations professionally and with discretion
  • Detail-oriented with good organisational skills
  • Comfortable working in a structured, target-driven environment
  • Previous experience in customer service, insurance, or financial services is an advantage but not required
