Position: Chief Information Officer (CIO)
Main Purpose of the Job
- The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is responsible for defining, driving, and governing the organizations information technology policies and strategies.
- This role oversees IT strategy formulation, governance, risk management, and performance monitoring to ensure that all technology initiatives are aligned with the companys vision, mission, and long-term business objectives.
Major Tasks / Responsibilities
- Define and drive IT governance frameworks, policies, and management practices to ensure alignment with the companys vision, mission, and corporate policies.
- Develop and implement IT strategies, standards, and roadmaps covering hardware, software, network infrastructure, operations, support services, and related technologies.
- Review, analyze, and improve IT-related processes to enhance operational efficiency, effectiveness, and service quality across the organization.
- Evaluate the business value, cost efficiency, and return on investment (ROI) of IT initiatives and technology investments.
- Plan, prioritize, and control IT projects and programs, including budget planning, resource allocation, and cost management to maximize value and optimize utilization.
- Oversee IT risk management, information security, and data protection to ensure systems, networks, and information assets comply with applicable standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Monitor and evaluate IT performance against defined strategies, KPIs, and objectives, and provide regular reporting to senior management and relevant governance bodies.
