Position: General Manager Production Division
Reporting to: Managing Director

1. Job Purpose

The General Manager Production Division is responsible for leading, managing, and optimizing all production operations to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, quality excellence, and alignment with the companys strategic direction.
This role oversees end-to-end production planning, resource allocation, quality control, team development, and continuous improvement to support sustainable organizational growth.

2. Key Responsibilities

2.1 Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Formulate and implement production strategies aligned with the companys core policies and long-term objectives.

  • Analyze and manage departmental budgets, assets, and operational resources to ensure optimal utilization and cost efficiency.

  • Lead short-, mid-, and long-term initiatives to enhance production capabilities and operational excellence.

  • Ensure all production plans are measurable, time-bound, and executable across the division.

2.2 Leadership & Executive Management

  • Provide strong leadership to all production teams and ensure timely execution of assigned responsibilities.

  • Submit regular progress updates to support data-driven decision-making at the executive level.

  • Uphold corporate ethics and transparency, acting as a representative of the company in safeguarding organizational interests.

  • Drive a high-performance culture based on accountability, integrity, and operational discipline.

2.3 Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with all levels of management to align divisional and organizational strategies.

  • Coordinate seamlessly with Sales, Marketing, Accounting, HR, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, and Production Planning.

  • Strengthen communication and reduce workflow complexity across departments to achieve shared business goals.

2.4 KPI Management & Performance Monitoring

  • Establish, apply, and monitor KPIs that support strategic production objectives.

  • Utilize data-driven metrics to guide operational decisions and performance tracking.

  • Ensure KPI frameworks are effective, measurable, and aligned with corporate targets.

2.5 Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

  • Oversee quality control systems and address all production quality issues with effective corrective and preventive actions.

  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to elevate product quality, streamline operations, and reduce overall production costs.

  • Support innovation projects that strengthen organizational capabilities.

2.6 Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Promote and maintain workplace safety awareness across all employee levels.

  • Implement and enhance safety measures to maintain a secure working environment.

  • Ensure full compliance with safety regulations and corporate standards.

2.7 People Development & Talent Management

  • Mentor and develop team leaders and production staff to build technical and leadership capability.

  • Work with HR to design and implement training roadmaps and career development pathways.

  • Build a highly skilled, motivated, and future-ready production workforce.

2.8 Budgetary & Cost Control

  • Oversee production budgeting, resource allocation, and financial planning related to production operations.

  • Review financial and production reports to support strategic decision-making.

  • Drive cost-reduction initiatives and ensure production costs remain competitive.

3. Major Challenges

  • Achieving high product quality while controlling production costs.

  • Managing complex cross-departmental workflows.

  • Delivering continuous improvement without compromising production timelines.

  • Maintaining efficiency and resource optimization across all production units.

4. Subordinate Functions & Oversight

Design Department

  • Develop new product designs and update existing items to meet customer specifications.

Production Planning

  • Plan and optimize production according to customer demand.

  • Align machine capacity, workforce, and raw materials with production schedules.

Quality Assurance

  • Oversee the quality management system to meet customer requirements and corporate standards.

Production / Assembly

  • Execute production processes to deliver outputs that meet schedule and quality targets.

Maintenance Division

  • Ensure proper maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive programs for all machinery.

Warehouse & Logistics

  • Manage inventory, storage, and distribution across the full supply chain system.

5. Working Relationships

The role requires close coordination with:

  • Design for new product specifications

  • Production Planning for scheduling and resource alignment

  • Quality Assurance for quality compliance

  • Assembly & Maintenance for operational execution

  • Warehouse/Logistics for inventory and distribution

  • All internal departments to achieve company-wide objectives

6. Job Specifications

Education

  • Bachelors degree or higher in a related field.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in production line or manufacturing management.
