Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Maintenance Lead to oversee electrical and mechanical maintenance across production equipment, utilities, and supporting systems. The role will focus on maximizing plant uptime, reducing engineering-related downtime, controlling maintenance and energy costs, and ensuring compliance with cGMP, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead preventive and breakdown maintenance for electrical, mechanical, utilities, HCM, and mucilage preparation equipment.
  • Drive continuous improvement to reduce engineering-related downtime and improve equipment reliability.
  • Monitor maintenance performance, process parameters, and recurring equipment failures, including RCA and CAPA.
  • Ensure availability of critical spare parts and effective maintenance documentation.
  • Analyze data from SCADA / IIoT / equipment logbooks to identify risks and improve maintenance performance.
  • Develop alternative vendors and conduct risk assessments to ensure business continuity.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, TPM, safety, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead capacity expansion, engineering improvement, automation, and energy conservation projects.
  • Coordinate with internal/external technical experts, consultants, QA, and cross-functional teams.
  • Support equipment validation activities including DQ, IQ, OQ, and PQ.
  • Drive energy-saving initiatives and reduce energy, spare parts, and repair & maintenance costs.
  • Monitor and report PM compliance, downtime, and engineering performance to Plant and Central functions.
  • Develop and coach engineering team members through on-the-job and classroom training.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, utilities, and production equipment.
  • Experience in engineering project management, automation, and energy conservation.
  • Knowledge of cGMP / regulated manufacturing is highly preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good cross-functional communication and teamwork.
  • Experience developing and managing technical teams.
  • Strong results-oriented mindset with a focus on cost, reliability, and operational excellence.
