Position: Finance Director 

Role Overview

The Finance Director will lead all finance and accounting activities for the Thailand entity, overseeing financial management, statutory reporting, budgeting, and compliance. This role acts as a strategic business partner to both local and regional management teams, providing financial insight and governance to support high-quality decision-making and sustainable business performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting Management & Compliance

  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of accurate, timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders in compliance with IFRS and Group policies.

  • Ensure full financial, tax, and regulatory compliance; act as the primary contact for internal and external audits, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.

  • Coordinate with external consultants and service providers to ensure timely tax filings and statutory submissions.

  • Lead Group internal audit engagements, execute improvement actions, and maintain robust internal control frameworks to mitigate financial and operational risks.

  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, controls, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Lead and manage IT / ERP implementation and enhancement projects, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.

2. Performance Management & Financial Controlling

  • Oversee working capital optimization, cash management, and cash-flow forecasting to ensure adequate liquidity and operational continuity.

  • Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, including regional and intercompany transactions, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.

  • Prepare and present regular and ad-hoc financial performance reports to Management and Business Group Directors, including analysis of profitability, cost variances, KPIs, and business performance drivers.

  • Identify financial risks and value-creation opportunities, providing actionable recommendations to optimize business performance.

  • Play a key role in shaping and executing the long-term finance strategy in close collaboration with senior stakeholders.

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance team with strong capabilities, accountability, and succession readiness.

3. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Integration

  • Provide local finance leadership and support during M&A due diligence for acquisition projects.

  • Lead financial and operational integration of newly acquired entities into the Group.

  • Support post-acquisition finance setup, including implementation of finance systems and tools (e.g. JDE ERP, OneStream reporting, Tableau analytics).

  • Drive alignment with Group governance, reporting standards, and IMCD global processes to ensure a smooth integration and transition.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.

  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, with strong exposure to multinational and listed company environments.

  • Solid knowledge of IFRS, taxation, and statutory compliance requirements.

  • Proven experience in business integration and ERP implementation projects.

  • Strong business partnering capability, acting as a trusted advisor and right hand to the Managing Director on governance and strategic matters.

  • Ability to manage complexity, drive process optimization, and handle multiple priorities effectively.

  • Fluency in English and Thai, both written and spoken.

  • Advanced skills in Excel, financial reporting, and consolidation tools.
