About the Company

A licensed industrial waste management company specializing in hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal in compliance with the Department of Industrial Works regulations.

The company is establishing its first fully integrated waste processing plant to strengthen internal operational capabilities, covering waste sorting (105), recycling (106), destruction processes, RDF/FRF fuel production, and municipal waste processing.

This role will be the first Plant Manager responsible for designing, implementing, and managing all factory operations from the ground up.

Reporting Line: Managing Director

Position Objective

To build, structure, and manage the entire plant operations, ensuring efficiency, regulatory compliance, safety, cost control, and scalable production capability aligned with the companys long-term growth plan.

This position is purely Operations-focused and does not involve commercial or sales responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Plant Setup & System Design

  • Establish full plant operations structure from scratch

  • Design workflow, layout, production flow, and operational SOP

  • Develop operational roadmap and implementation timeline

  • Build Lean and structured operational processes

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily plant operations covering 200+ waste categories

  • Manage waste sorting (105), recycling (106), and destruction processes

  • Supervise RDF/FRF alternative fuel production

  • Ensure output quality, efficiency, and cost optimization

  • Monitor KPIs: throughput, yield, downtime, safety, compliance

Regulatory & Compliance Management

  • Ensure full compliance with industrial waste laws and environmental regulations
  • Manage licensing, certification, documentation, and audit readiness

  • Coordinate with relevant authorities when required

  • Implement environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards

Team Leadership & Workforce Planning

  • Build and structure core plant operations team

  • Define manpower planning and shift structure

  • Lead supervisors and operational staff

  • Develop performance standards and operational discipline

  • Create proactive, accountable, and safety-first culture

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Implement Lean principles and process improvement

  • Identify cost reduction and productivity enhancement opportunities

  • Introduce appropriate technology to improve efficiency 

  • Drive Smart Factory mindset (data tracking, reporting systems)

Qualifications

Experience

  • 5–10+ years of experience in factory or industrial plant operations

  • Experience in waste management, recycling, environmental services, or other regulated industries is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of industrial compliance and environmental regulations

  • Experience in plant setup and production planning is a strong advantage

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking ability

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and newly established operational environment

Language Requirement

  • Good command of English (both written and spoken)

  • Able to communicate with regulatory authorities, partners, and stakeholders
  • Able to review documentation, reports, and compliance-related materials in English
