HIRING POSITION: Senior Executive, Risk & Compliance

WORKING CONDITION: Hybrid

LOCATION: BTS Accessible

Job Purpose:

This role is part of the Risk Management and Compliance function, overseeing all entities within Thailand. The primary responsibilities include implementing the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and ensuring that all business functions comply with internal policies, regulations, and best practices. This position reports functionally to the Group Head of Risk & Compliance and administratively to the Thailand General Manager.

Main Responsibilities:

Risk Management:

  • Assist in the implementation of the Risk Management Framework, including:
    • Risk Appetite Statements and Metrics
    • Risk Profiling and Controls Self-Assessment
    • Incident Management
    • Management of all categories of enterprise risks, such as Business Continuity, Outsourcing, and Fraud Risk Management
  • Collaborate with the Information Security Officer to manage cyber risks
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of an Assurance Framework through planned annual controls testing across functional areas
  • Promote Risk Culture by conducting awareness trainings
  • Assist in the annual review of risk policies

Regulatory, Legal, and Compliance:

  • Maintain a register of all regulatory obligations and relevant controls, tracking their implementation to ensure compliance
  • Assist in the implementation of DAT Risk and Compliance policies and procedures
  • Coordinate regulatory reporting and submissions
  • Manage actions related to regulatory and insurance bodies' announcements and circulars
  • Assist in reviewing regulatory releases and preparing responses to regulatory requests for information or reviews
  • Support the annual review of controls and control testing by control owners
  • Assist in the investigation and reporting of complaints to relevant stakeholders
  • Support the implementation of mandatory compliance training
  • Maintain the companys Contract Register, assist in reviewing contracts, agreements, MOUs, NDAs, etc., and liaise with external legal advisors/lawyers

Risk and Compliance Reporting:

  • Prepare Risk Reporting for the Management Risk Committee (MRC)
  • Support the preparation of reports for the Board Risk Committee

Audit:

  • Assist in coordinating internal and external audits
  • Monitor and track audit actions

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support ad-hoc projects where Risk & Compliance involvement is required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in a related discipline
  • 3-5 years of experience in risk-based audit, risk management, and/or compliance, preferably within the insurance industry
  • Strong knowledge of risk and controls management and regulatory risk management
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication in both English and Thai
  • Ability to build effective relationships with peers and stakeholders at all levels
  • Skilled in sourcing information, evaluating options, and recommending solutions in new environments
  • Excellent documentation and report writing skills
  • Strong time management, analytical skills, and attention to detail
  • Independent with a growth mindset
  • A team player who is highly motivated, coachable, and eager to learn and succeed
  • High regard for confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information
