Our client operates as a prominent player in the dairy industry within Thailand. Primary Function: The Credit Manager oversees the entire customer credit granting process, ensuring consistent application of credit policies, conducting periodic reviews of existing customers, and assessing potential customers' creditworthiness. The role aims to optimize company sales while minimizing bad debt losses.

Key Responsibilities:

Credit Operations:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain current credit control policies and procedures.
  • Establish and manage credit limits, conducting credit checks on all customers.
  • Chase overdue invoices through telephone, email, and letters within agreed timelines.
  • Ensure compliance of all credit control and accounts receivable transactions with company policies and TFRS.
  • Monitor the credit granting and updating processes, and conduct periodic credit reviews.
  • Monitor deductions taken by customers and meet company cash and DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) targets.
  • Make recommendations to enhance invoicing, credit note, and collection procedures.
  • Provide effective credit control support across business sectors, managing internal issue escalations and reporting.
  • Continuously improve departmental systems and procedures in collaboration with the IT department, with experience in automation software considered advantageous.
  • Assist in various projects and efforts for process improvement and automation.
  • Generate ad-hoc reports upon management request.

Cash and Bank Operations:

  • Ensure daily processing of cash receipts, GL posting, and reconciliation of 12 bank accounts.
  • Provide weekly cash incoming forecasts by customer.

Management:

  • Lead a team of 7 staff members, ensuring their motivation and performance in credit control and accounts receivable functions.
  • Achieve departmental performance metrics.
  • Facilitate ongoing training for the credit control and accounts receivable team.
  • Manage relationships with the sales department and other internal departments.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in managing receivable and credit control functions, preferably within multinational or FMCG companies.
  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
  • Proficiency in PC applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with SAP systems preferred.
  • Strong reporting skills and knowledge of legislation pertaining to Credit Management.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities.
