Position Summary


The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) will be a key executive responsible for driving revenue growth, optimizing pricing and distribution strategies, and elevating the overall market position of our client is a prominent player in the aviation sector. This leadership role will oversee all commercial functions to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and long-term strategic growth.

Authorities & Accountabilities

Performance Expectations in Commercial Business

  • Achieve and exceed revenue and profitability targets.
  • Develop and execute commercial strategies that support corporate growth and competitiveness.
  • Strengthen brand equity, customer engagement, and multiple revenue channels.

Strategic Business Role

  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Lead commercial transformation initiatives to drive growth and improve operational efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships to unlock new revenue opportunities and strengthen market positioning.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the following core areas: Revenue Management, Network Planning, Customer Engagement, Corporate Communications, Onboard Experience, E-Commerce & Distribution, and Vendor/Outsource Management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional heads to align commercial efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans focusing on operational excellence, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and brand development.
  • Advise the CEO on market trends, growth opportunities, and key commercial decisions.
  • Provide executive leadership during high-impact scenarios or crises to minimize disruption to commercial operations.
  • Oversee the annual planning and budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with growth and profitability goals.
  • Foster collaboration and accountability across commercial teams to deliver high-impact results.
  • Continuously monitor team performance against KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and corrective action.
  • Inspire commercial leadership teams to drive innovation, strategic alignment, and team development.
  • Expand the company's commercial footprint through partnerships, alliances, and referral networks.
  • Mitigate risks and capitalize on new business opportunities through data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure all commercial operations comply with industry regulations and internal governance policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO.

Person Specification

Education

  • Masters degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Law is required.
  • MBA preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 15 years of leadership experience, including 3 - 5 years in a CCO or similar executive role.
  • Experience in the aviation or travel industry is highly desirable.
