Position: Accounting Manager (Non-Life Insurance)

Responsibilities

Financial & Regulatory Reporting

  • Oversee and manage all accounting activities, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.

  • Ensure the accuracy and compliance of all accounting transactions with the companys policies, Thai Accounting Standards, and the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) regulations.

  • Prepare and review statutory financial reports, OIC submissions, and RBC (Risk-Based Capital) reports to ensure timely and accurate filings.

  • Lead the preparation and submission of corporate income tax, value-added tax (VAT), and specific business tax filings in compliance with tax regulations and deadlines.

System Implementation & Administration

  • Lead the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the SUN accounting system and IFRS 17 standards.

  • Maintain and develop the general ledger (GL), chart of accounts (COA), and other accounting reports.

  • Act as the system administrator for SUN, liaising with internal users and IT teams to resolve issues and manage user access controls.

Audit & Compliance

  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including preparing work papers and responding to auditor inquiries.

  • Ensure strong internal governance and compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks, including OIC and ISMS standards.

  • Monitor internal controls over financial reporting and support corrective action for identified issues.

Leadership & Support

  • Review account reconciliations and ensure accuracy and completeness of supporting documents.

  • Mentor and provide technical and soft skills training to junior accounting staff.

  • Provide guidance on complex accounting and tax matters.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide accounting insights to support business strategy.

  • Support ad-hoc requests and tasks as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Accounting.

  • CPD license is required.

  • At least 7 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the non-life insurance industry.

  • Prior experience with IFRS 17 and SUN accounting system is highly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of OIC regulations and Thai statutory requirements.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proactive, flexible, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.

  • Able to manage multiple tasks independently and deliver results on time.

  • Good command of English (written and spoken).
