Position: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

About the Opportunity:

The CTO will lead the local technology strategy and execution, ensuring alignment with both local regulatory requirements and global technology standards. This role involves overseeing all technical operations, driving innovation, and collaborating closely with the global technology team to maintain a secure, high-performance trading platform.

Responsibilities:

Technology Strategy & Leadership

• Define and execute the local technology roadmap in alignment with global standards and business objectives.
• Lead the local tech team while fostering collaboration with global tech leadership.
• Ensure technology decisions support scalability, security, and compliance with local regulations.

Platform Development & Maintenance

• Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of the exchanges trading platform, APIs, and backend systems.
• Drive continuous improvement in system performance, latency, and reliability.
• Work with global teams to integrate new features, security upgrades, and regulatory-compliant solutions.

Security & Risk Management

• Implement and enforce cybersecurity best practices, including encryption, penetration testing, and incident response.
• Ensure compliance with local data protection laws (e.g., [GDPR, Local Data Privacy Act]) and global security policies.
• Lead risk assessments and disaster recovery planning for critical systems.

Regulatory & Compliance Alignment

• Collaborate with the Compliance team to ensure technology meets local regulatory requirements (e.g., transaction monitoring, reporting).
• Work with global teams to implement compliance-related tech solutions (e.g., KYC/AML integrations, blockchain analytics).

Requirement:

• 10+ years in technology leadership, preferably in crypto exchanges, fintech, or financial services.

• Proven track record of building and scaling high-performance trading platforms.

• Experience working in a regulated environment and collaborating with global teams.

• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.

• Ability to bridge local and global tech strategies.
