Job Title: Finance Manager
Company Overview: A rapidly growing fintech company in Southeast Asia is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to establish and lead the finance function in the Philippines. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, self-driven, and capable of working independently. This role offers significant growth opportunities, being one of the company's first hires in the country, and requires collaboration with senior management across regional offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete accounting process, including audits, tax compliance, and secretarial tasks, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Oversee finance operations, including daily/weekly reconciliation with merchants, ensuring the accuracy of cash movements and underlying data.
- Perform monthly P&L reconciliation to ensure all sales, purchases, and costs are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Address audit, tax, and banking queries.
- Coordinate with the headquarters finance team to ensure proper accounting for intercompany transactions.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decision-making.
- Improve financial controls and accounting procedures to ensure compliance with Philippine regulations and reporting standards.
- Ensure compliance with local tax and VAT reporting, corporate income tax, and other regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or equivalent.
- At least 8 years of experience in accounting, ideally within a regulated financial or lending company.
- CPA certification or experience with a Big 4 audit firm is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of government statutory rulings and compliance.
- Experience with IFRS or equivalent financial reporting standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and cloud accounting systems such as NetSuite.
- Self-motivated, able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- High integrity, ownership, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Fluency in Filipino/Tagalog and English.
