Our client is a leading no-frills carrier with the most significant number of domestic routes within Thailand. The airline is also planning on opening more destinations regionally. Based on the data from the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the country expects tourism revenue to reach 80% of what it was before the pandemic.

As one of the major carriers here in the Kingdom, the airline expects to experience a boom in the tourist industry after the pandemic domestically and regionally and they are now looking for a Cargo Sales Manager to land a professional successful career with them.

Department:Commercial

Main purpose of the job:

To execute the commercial strategies for cargo sales to surpass revenue targets and commercial Key Performance Indicators as well as providing fit for purpose solutions to customers.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

Revenue Generation

  • Help to implement Cargo Business Plan in alignment with local cargo strategies and specified Key Performance Indicators
  • Support and coordinate with the Cargo Sales, Reservations Officers, and other relevant department to achieve revenue target and generate ancillary revenue
  • Negotiate and execute sales contracts as required
  • Help to generate revenue with the perspective of sales channels, product sales and offline sales development

Account Management and Sales Administration

  • Conduct regular reviews of accounts performance and seek additional revenue opportunities from each account
  • Coordinate with the Indoor Sales Team to provide customer-centric solutions to customers
  • Assist in setting the annual revenue budget and Cargo Business Plan as required
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship of client-servicing with customers to support revenue generation
  • Collect, analyze, and report market conditions, trends and activities as requested
  • Provide superb sales and customer service in all customer touch points to drive premium selling rates and regular business
  • Implement programs on e-initiatives to drive penetration of e-Bookings and other Agent Self-Service functions
  • Any other reasonable task as requested

Partnerships and External Liaisons

  • Manage relationships with shippers, key industry and trade partners and associations so that the Company interests are well represented
  • Give recognition to, and earn the loyalty of our highest value customers

Customer Service

  • Support cargo reservations and bookings whilst providing exemplary customer service
  • Provide vendor notification for on time and delayed flights daily
  • Provide timely shipment status updates to customers
  • Help to manage GHA performance and provide guidelines and instructions
  • Support the established performance targets through operational oversight and participation

Administrative Support

  • Prepare flight documentation for crew and Customs
  • Check and review post flight documentation
  • Prepare post flight reports in a timely and accurate manner
  • Provide freighter catering uplift and last-minute changes
  • Coordinate effectively between engineering, airport operations, air traffic control and vendors to ensure smooth communication and service provision
  • Coordinate cargo service activities between sales, operations, and ground handling to ensure efficient handling of shipments
  • Communicate effectively via various channels stakeholders including customers, airport and cargo operations, suppliers, flight crew etc.
  • Coordinate weather diversions at diversion sites
  • Assist with crew administration and support matters at the port
  • Support station training activities as required
  • Support station management in supplier oversight including reporting GHA performance issues
  • Any other reasonable task as requested

Safety, Security and Compliance

  • Help to ensure compliance and conformance to all regulatory and internal safety, security, quality, and procedural requirements
  • Undertake quality check programs established by Head Office and participate in audits as required
  • Support Emergency and Accident role as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or Masters degree from a top-tier university with consistent outstanding academic record;
  • Advanced degree or MBA is preferred
  • Proven record of high performance and substantial achievements in your past positions
  • Outstanding records of academic and managerial or professional achievement
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively
  • Have ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
  • International knowledge airline business
  • Experience in all position minimum 5 years up
  • English/ Chinese communication is perfect
