Position: Chief Financial Officer
The Chief Financial Officer will be a strategic thought-adviser, and report to Managing Director. The successful candidate will be a hands-on and participative Executive and will lead and develop an internal team to support the following areas in the group of company (Thailand/ Vietnam) - finance, accounting and IT. The Chief Financial Officer will play a critical role in supporting with the senior leadership team in strategic decision making and operations.
Core Roles & Responsibilities
- Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements; collate financial reporting materials for all segments, and oversee all financial, project/ program and grants accounting.
- Directing all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting.
- Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors; assess any changes necessary.
- Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process as well as review all financial plans and budgets; monitor progress for both companies (in Thailand and Vietnam) and keep updating the financial status to senior management team.
- Providing strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs.
- Developing and maintaining all necessary finance & accounting/ information technology policies and systems
- Managing all tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property and other applicable taxes.
- Manage organizational cash flow and forecasting.
- Manage IT system (software & hardware) as strategic support.
- Implement a contracts management and financial management/ reporting system; ensure that the contract billing and collection schedule is adhered to and that financial data and cash flow are steady and support operational requirements.
- Update and implement all necessary business policies and accounting practices; improve the finance & accounting departments overall policy and procedure manual.
- Assisting senior management in financial planning and results management. Work with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking.
- Evaluate current system and technology and recommend modification to present modules to ensure effectiveness.
- Analyze all business objectives and recommend solutions to all IT investments.
- Effectively communicate and present the critical financial & IT matters to the board of directors.
- Ensure the high service level of finance & accounting and IT services to all function of the Company
- Coordinate with business partners and develop strategies to implement various It solutions effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Finance & Accounting. MBA is preferred.
- At least 20 years of overall professional experience; ideally 15+ years of broad financial and accounting experience.
- Having the experience of final responsibility for the quality and content of all financial data, reporting and audit coordination for either a division or significant program area.
- Ability to translate financial & accounting concepts to and to effectively collaborate with -- programmatic and fundraising colleagues who do not necessarily have finance & accounting backgrounds.
- Strategic mind-set, ability to think long term/ creatively and strong can-do attitude.
- Strong management skills, problem-solving, decision making, good analytical skills, proactive, positive attitude, result-oriented, logic thinking, good interpersonal, negotiation, presentation and organizational skills.
- Technology savvy with experience selecting and overseeing software installations and managing relationships with software vendors; knowledge of accounting and reporting software.
- Strong command in English and computer literacy.
