Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its Finance function in Thailand. This role is pivotal in ensuring the company's financial health, supporting business goals, and driving financial performance. The CFO will oversee a team of 20, manage financial planning and compliance, and serve as a key advisor to executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Financial Leadership

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with overall business objectives.

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decisions.

  • Establish performance metrics to monitor and guide business direction.

  • Ensure robust internal controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Operational Finance Management

  • Manage day-to-day finance and accounting functions, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

  • Supervise the preparation of financial statements in accordance with regulatory and accounting standards.

  • Oversee relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and the OIC.

  • Drive process enhancements to improve efficiency and data integrity.

  • Lead outsourcing initiatives and third-party finance functions.

  • Mentor and develop a high-performing finance team with a culture of excellence.

Financial Reporting & Governance

  • Oversee all financial reporting activities and ensure regulatory submissions are accurate and timely.

  • Present financial results and strategic insights to the board.

  • Maintain transparency and accountability in all financial communications.

Candidate Profile

  • Education: MBA in Finance; CPA preferred.

  • Experience: 10+ years in finance, preferably within the insurance industry.

  • Expertise: Deep understanding of financial systems, reporting standards (especially IFRS 17), and regulatory frameworks.

  • Skills: Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.

  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams, collaborate cross-functionally, and operate at both strategic and operational levels.

  • Attributes: Energetic, hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with high integrity, adaptability, and the ability to scale a team.

  • Language: Excellent command of English.
