Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Production Manager to lead and oversee our CNC machining operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily production activities, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of products. This role requires strong knowledge of CNC machining processes, team leadership, and experience working within the IATF 1949 quality management system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and manage production schedules to meet customer demands and delivery deadlines.
- Oversee CNC machining operations including turning, milling, drilling, and other machining processes.
- Ensure all production processes comply with IATF 16949 quality standards and customer requirements.
- Lead a team of CNC operators, programmers, and technicians to achieve production goals.
- Coordinate with the Quality Department to maintain compliance with audits,
documentation, and corrective actions.
- Monitor equipment maintenance and reduce downtime through preventive maintenance planning.
- Optimize workflow and production efficiency using continuous improvement practices (Lean, 5S, Kaizen).
- Review and interpret engineering drawings (DWG, CAD files) and ensure correct setups and tool selection.
- Track production KPIs, analyze performance data, and report progress to senior management.
- Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with health, safety, and
environmental standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a
related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC machining operations, with 2+ years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of CNC processes, machine programming, tooling, and
production workflows.
- Proven experience working in a manufacturing environment certified to IATF
16949 standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD/DWG files.
- Skilled in production planning software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality systems.
- Hands-on experience with CNC programming (G-code, CAM software like
Mastercam or Fusion 360)
