Plantation Manager (Laos)

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelors, Masters, or Doctoral degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Horticulture, or a related field (preferred).

• Strong technical knowledge of coffee plantation management, including crop production, agronomic practices, pest and disease control, soil fertility, and post-harvest processing.

• Solid understanding of sustainable farming systems, agroforestry, and environmental stewardship.

• Experience managing large-scale plantation operations, labor workforce planning, and seasonal harvest teams.

• Knowledge of wet and dry coffee processing methods, quality control standards, and traceability systems.

• Familiarity with local agricultural laws, labor regulations, and compliance requirements.

• Proven budgeting, cost control, and operational planning skills.

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate with buyers, exporters, and certification bodies.
