Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger Management
- Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely within Oracle ERP.
- Maintain and monitor general ledger accounts and ensure proper account classification.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations.
- Review and analyze financial transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and unusual variances.
Financial Closing and Reporting
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare financial schedules and supporting documentation for management reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Generate and analyze financial reports from Oracle ERP.
Manufacturing Accounting Support
- Collaborate with production, procurement, inventory, and operations teams to ensure accurate recording of manufacturing transactions.
- Monitor inventory-related accounting entries, production variances, and cost allocations.
- Assist with fixed asset accounting related to manufacturing equipment and assembly facilities.
- Support inventory counts and reconciliation activities.
Compliance and Controls
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audit activities by providing required documentation and explanations.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
System and Process Improvement
- Utilize Oracle ERP modules effectively for general ledger and financial reporting activities.
- Participate in system enhancements, process improvement initiatives, and finance transformation projects.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve accounting efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
Experience
- 3-5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within automotive, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP (Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Fusion, or similar).
- Experience in general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of manufacturing accounting principles, inventory accounting, and cost accounting is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in Oracle ERP General Ledger module.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge of financial reporting and account reconciliation processes.
- Understanding of internal controls and accounting standards.
