Job Objective:

Responsible for planning and managing the requirements of materials and components needed for production operations (specifically for CKD and SKD assembly lines). The role ensures that materials are available at the right time and in the correct quantities, balancing inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking, thereby maintaining high operational efficiency and production continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Material Planning: Analyze annual and monthly production plans and translate them into precise requirements for raw materials and components (BOM Analysis).
  • MRP System Management: Execute and monitor MRP runs on the ERP system (e.g., SAP or ORACLE) to ensure accurate delivery dates and quantities.
  • Supply Chain Follow-up: Coordinate continuously with the Procurement department and Local suppliers to track purchase orders and ensure shipments arrive according to the manufacturing schedule.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor "On-hand Inventory" levels and define Reorder Points to minimize capital tied up in stock.
  • Engineering Change Management: Track changes in Bills of Materials (BOM) resulting from engineering modifications or model year changes, ensuring they are immediately reflected in the planning system.
  • Gap Analysis: Proactively identify potential material shortages and develop contingency plans to prevent production line stoppages.
  • Technical Reporting: Prepare periodic reports on material availability, analyze variances between planned vs. actual usage, and report on slow-moving or "Dead Stock."
  • Internal Coordination: Act as a liaison between Production, Warehousing, and Quality departments to ensure incoming materials meet technical specifications.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably Production, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering).

Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in Material or Production Planning, with a strong preference for the Automotive Assembly sector.

Technical Skills:

  • Full proficiency in ERP systems (ORACLE or SAP are highly preferred).
  • Advanced Excel skills (Data analysis, complex formulas, and Pivot Tables).
  • Advanced Power BI skills (DAX)
  • Deep understanding of CKD/SKD manufacturing cycles and dealing with international Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

Languages: Fluency in English (written and spoken) for technical correspondence and supplier management.

Soft Skills:

  • High analytical and complex problem-solving abilities.
  • Extreme attention to detail when dealing with figures and data.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and commit to strict production timelines.
