HR & Continuous Improvement Coordinator

This close-knit team is searching for a confident and capable HR & Continuous Improvement Coordinator to take the lead on key people operations, employee engagement, and internal process optimization.

This role will support both day-to-day HR functions (employee files, onboarding, health and safety, etc.) and continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with company leadership to ensure smooth operations and strong workplace culture.

What Youll Be Doing:

  • Lead and manage HR administrative duties including maintaining paper-based employee files

  • Support the implementation of a new HRIS system (ODU) and ensure accurate data transfer and adoption

  • Take charge of Health & Safety, ensuring compliance, tracking incidents, and promoting best practices

  • Build strong rapport with front-line staff while remaining professional and tactful under pressure

  • Support management with internal communication, disciplinary documentation, and employee relations

  • Assist with continuous improvement efforts across departments in partnership with senior leadership

  • Facilitate occasional process audits, team training, and system rollout projects

  • Promote a respectful, inclusive, and values-based workplace culture

Were Looking for Someone Who:

  • Has 25 years of HR or operations experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

  • Can confidently hold their own in blue-collar shop settings and gain trust from front-line workers

  • Is familiar with or eager to learn about Health & Safety protocols and industry best practices

  • Is highly organized, practical, and takes initiative without needing hand-holding

  • Has experience managing paper files and transitioning to digital systems (HRIS implementation is a bonus!)

  • Is naturally respectful, direct, and professional, with a strong sense of accountability

  • Understands the importance of values, culture, and purpose in the workplace

  • Post-secondary education in HR, Business, or a related field is an asset, but experience is more important

  • Bonus if you have a background in process improvement, lean principles, or quality assurance
