Qualified Insolvency Counsellor
Location: Remote (Canada)
Full-Time | Financial Counselling & Client Support

We are looking for a Qualified Insolvency Counsellor to join a growing and compassionate team of professionals dedicated to helping individuals rebuild their financial futures. In this remote role, youll work one-on-one with clients who have filed Consumer Proposals or bankruptcies, guiding them through required counselling sessions and supporting them in developing the knowledge and tools for long-term financial wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct first and second insolvency counselling sessions in accordance with the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA).

  • Provide guidance on budgeting, financial planning, and goal setting tailored to each clients unique situation.

  • Recommend financial tools and resources to help clients maintain a debt-free lifestyle.

  • Deliver empathetic, respectful support to clients at all stages of their financial recovery journey.

  • Identify and refer clients to additional non-budgetary support services as needed.

  • Review and discuss monthly Income & Expense reports with clients.

  • Prepare and e-file the Report on Insolvency Counselling and other required documents.

What You Bring:

  • Certification as a Qualified Insolvency Counsellor, recognized under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a high level of empathy.

  • Comfort working independently in a remote setting while staying connected to a broader team.

  • Organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation and reporting.

  • A client-first mindset with a passion for supporting financial empowerment.
