Job Description:

Operational Accountant & Payroll Administrator

  • Backup AP support
    • Help out with AP emails & requests
  • Backup Payroll & Benefit support
    • Help out with Payroll emails & requests
    • Post JE in QB
  • Backup deposit support
  • Prepare WIP reconciliation and credit balances in WIP
  • Monthly bank reconciliation
  • Monthly employee utilization
  • Quarterly portfolio analysis
  • Monthly prepaids amortization
  • Monthly PPE amortization
  • Moving assets from one office to another if needed
  • SUMA to OADM Conversions
  • IPS:
    • Help support the firm with IPS related issues (secondary and coverage support)
    • Reset IPS for the following year (payroll related purposes)
    • Ensure Stat Holidays are entered into the payroll section in IPS and the employee calendars
  • Help order IT equipment and office supplies such as stamps etc.
  • Help with Job descriptions
  • Event Coordination
  • Ensure all estates with a balance of over $2,500 have received an interim dividend
  • Prepare interim statements of receipts and disbursements
  • Prepare final statements of receipts and disbursements
  • Ensuring all cash that can be collected has been collected and deposited
  • Analysis on default proposals rates by each individual
  • Analysis to ensure that leads are being converted efficiently and are they appropriately being classified as unqualified
  • Ensuring all onboarding is set up and ready to go for the new hire starting this week
  • Other duties as required
