About KARRA
Our name says it all. Karra comes from the Greek word "Chara," meaning joy, because we believe working with attorneys shouldn't feel like a necessary evil. We're here to bring some joy back into the legal world, both for our clients and the people who work alongside us.
Heres the thing: we weren't built by career law firm partners who've always done it this way. Were entrepreneurs (and lawyers) who looked at our industry and thought: There has to be a better way.
Our firm is powered by modern systems and smart automation, letting us focus on high-leverage work. We believe the future of legal lies in combining human judgment with smart technology. We use AI to amplify our efforts and streamline workflows, while preserving the nuance and care that great lawyering demands.
We've cut out the bloat, the politics, and the old-school mentality. What's left is refreshingly simple: great work with great clients.

Position Overview
Karra Law is hiring a remote full-time senior corporate attorney to join our team serving high-growth startups and modern businesses. This role is perfect for someone who brings deep experience in emerging companies and venture deals, but also wants to flex across a broader range of strategic legal work.
You'll work directly with founders, structure companies, and serve as outside GC for a variety of different businesses. This is a high-trust, high-impact role designed for a lawyer who moves fast, thinks commercially, and wants to help build a new kind of firm.
This is a rare opportunity to get in early and help shape the future of a modern firm. We offer a rewarding, founder-style compensation structure, with meaningful upside tied to contributions, giving you the chance to build long-term value in something you're helping create - all with the support and infrastructure of a forward-thinking practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead startup structuring: formations, founder equity splits, IP assignments, holding companies, and cap table planning
- Advise on corporate governance and equity matters, including restricted stock, option plans, 83(b), and investor onboarding
- Serve as outside general counsel on day-to-day legal matters, board governance, employment questions, and commercial contracts, balancing legal risk and business strategy
- Support venture financings (SAFEs, convertible notes, preferred stock) from term sheet to closing
- Stay adaptable and willing to learn new verticals and areas of law as client needs evolve
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- 5+ years of corporate experience, with a strong focus on emerging companies
- Trained at a Big Law firm or elite boutique with exposure to emerging company work, venture capital, and/or M&A
- Active attorney license in good standing
- Confident owning matters and managing client relationships
- Enjoy the pace and energy of early-stage companies and speak the language of founders
- Comfortable advising across a wide range of matters (and interested in learning what you don't yet know)
- Operate with a business-first mindset: practical, fast-moving, and solution-oriented
- Want to build a new type of law firm with us
Bonus Points For:
- Experience with M&A, secondary sales, or more complex capital events
- Familiarity with tech stack tools
- Interest in productizing legal services or experimenting with tech and AI-enabled delivery
What We Offer
- Competitive full-time base salary (commensurate with experience)
- Additional earning potential commensurate with the firms growth
- Flexible, fully-remote team culture - no face-time expectations or big-firm posturing
- Tech, automation, and support to help you succeed
- Transparent fee-sharing structure for client origination and key accounts
- Real ownership: you'll help shape how we grow, operate, and innovate
