JOB DESCRIPTION FOR POSITION TITLE: Financial Planning Analyst

Duties/Responsibilities:

Promptly provide FP&A finance support to the finance teams regarding productivity, demand

planning, reporting, and metrics.

Identify and understand business challenges; propose and create solutions.

Responsible for collecting the required data by ensuring that the appropriate and updated

information sources have been identified and data extracted and verified accordingly.

Partner directly with the finance team and central FP&A groups to collaborate on metrics, goals,

and business reviews.

Dive deeply into financial data and become a subject matter expert to provide additional insights.

Understanding Financial Statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements)

along with basic ratio analysis

Work on corporate projects and initiatives that impact the entire organization.

Reconciling financials that follow a structured approach in retrieving the data and completing the

Data Collection Template

Create presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively

frame decisions to be made.

Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying

opportunities for improvement.

Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all

levels of the organization.

Served as a liaison for the investor relations team, managing the earnings guidance scenario

modeling, including executive presentation, Q&A support, and ad hoc analysis.

Qualification:

Education: Bachelors/Masters in Finance(Preferably from IBA)

Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

Skills/Abilities

Good Excel skills with attention to detail (i.e., detail-oriented), maintaining complex Excel models,

updating monthly/quarterly basis, and monitoring multiple databases

Spreadsheet skills and other data analytical tools to quantify and illustrate routine financial reports,

comparisons, impacts, variance analysis etc.

Preferably experience in SAP system (someone who can go into the system and verify/reconcile the

accuracy of the data collected)

Knowledge of PowerPoint, budget exercises, and accounting practice will be an added advantage.
