Job Overview:

As the Monitoring & Evaluation Manager, you will play a key role in designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation systems to track the progress and impact of our projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong analytical mindset, excellent project management skills, and experience in developing and implementing M&E frameworks.

Responsibilities:

  1. M&E Strategy and Planning:

    • Develop and implement the organization's monitoring and evaluation strategy in alignment with project goals and objectives.
    • Collaborate with program managers to design M&E frameworks and indicators for projects.
  2. Data Collection and Analysis:

    • Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data related to program activities and outcomes.
    • Develop and implement data quality assurance processes.
  3. Reporting:

    • Prepare and present regular M&E reports to stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
    • Ensure timely and accurate submission of project reports to donors and relevant authorities.
  4. Capacity Building:

    • Provide training and capacity-building support to project staff and partners on M&E tools and methodologies.
    • Foster a culture of learning and accountability within the organization.
  5. Evaluation and Impact Assessment:

    • Plan and conduct evaluations and impact assessments of projects.
    • Make recommendations for program improvement based on evaluation findings.
  6. Collaboration and Networking:

    • Collaborate with external partners, donors, and stakeholders to align M&E activities with industry standards and best practices.
    • Represent the organization in M&E-related forums and networks.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in a non-profit or development organization.
  2. Strong understanding of M&E frameworks, methodologies, and data analysis techniques.
  3. Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  4. Proficiency in relevant M&E tools and software.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Development, Statistics, Public Health). Masters degree is a plus.
