Position Description:

We are looking for an experienced Fabric Procurement Manager to manage the companys supply of

products and services. Responsibilities include strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers.

The overall objective of this position is the sourcing & vetting of vendors, launching RFP/RFQs, contract

oversight & management, policy & procedure creation, risk avoidance & analysis, vendor performance &

relations with an emphasis on achieving organizational goals by acquiring goods and services at the best

quality, value, and price.

Responsibilities:

Job responsibilities of the fabric sourcing department may vary widely depending on factors such as,

type of products (Chiffon, Georgette, high fashion), company profile (a composite factory, small garment

manufacturing house) etc.

The responsibility of Fabric Procurement Manager includes followings but not limited to these.

Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.

Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.

Visit for sourcing fabrics and their samples for approval.

Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.

Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.

Maintains purchasing information, files and records (e.g. Requests for Proposal, purchase orders,

vendor files, etc.)

Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.

Preparing purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.

Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.

Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on

procurement costs.

Compiling data from a wide variety of sources (e.g., vendors, staff, etc.) for the purpose of

analyzing issues, ensuring compliance with the purchasing policies and procedures, and

monitoring purchasing processes.

Preparing procurement reports and presentations for use at Senior management level in

strategic decision making.

Any other task assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Requirement

Qualification:

Bachelors in supply chain management, logistics or business administration with minimum 5 to 6 years

of experience as Procurement Manager or Procurement officer in a reputed Apparel Brand only.

Skill Set:

Knowledge of women's clothing fabrics is essential, and familiarity with fabrics for western

dresses would be an added advantage

Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as an ability in analyzing the market

Talent in negotiations and networking

Preparing and maintaining reports

Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software

Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers

Experience in collecting and analyzing data

Strong leadership capabilities
