The successful candidate will support the development of high-end healthcare facility briefs, master plans, and schematic design concepts, working directly with the firm's Principal Consultants on projects of significant scale and complexity. This role is designed for a design professional who combines architectural rigor with design flair, and who is based in Metro Manila to support periodic construction-stage site visits and client engagements within the Philippines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Architectural Design & Medical Planning Support
Develop and refine architectural drawings, schematic layouts, and functional planning documents that meet local statutory and
regulatory planning requirements across the region.
Translate evidence-based design (EBD) principles into buildable design solutions that meet the client's vision, mission, aims, and objectives.
Prepare space programs, room data sheets, and departmental relationship diagrams in support of feasibility studies and project briefs.
Research & Knowledge Management
Conduct structured literature reviews on emerging models of care, clinical workflow optimization, and healthcare design trends, synthesizing findings for project application aided by Artificial Intelligence (e.g., Agentic AI and Machine Learning).
Proactively identify knowledge gaps within the team and surface relevant research, innovations, or industry developments to the firm's leadership to improve workflows and reduce waste and abortive work.
Contribute to the firm's evidence base by maintaining an organized library of references, case studies, and benchmarking data.
Visualization & Documentation
Produce high-quality architectural visualizations, presentation decks, and client-ready documents using Revit, SketchUp,
Lumion/Enscape/3D Studio Max, and Adobe InDesign.
Leverage AI-assisted design tools to enhance workflow productivity, explore design options, and support quality assurance.
Prepare accurate, well-coordinated BIM models and drawing sets consistent with project-specific standards and consultant guidelines.
Collaboration & Project Delivery
Work closely with Principal Consultants, medical planners, and clinical stakeholders, demonstrating initiative and the ability to operate both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Participate in client meetings, site visits, and workshops; assist in preparing meeting minutes, design reports, and project correspondence.
Report to co-working office at Rockwell Power Plant Mall, Makati City, when required to support visiting Principal
Consultants or attend client engagements in Makati or Quezon City, working alongside existing Manila-based licensed architect and Chief Operating Officer (COO), both of whom are based in the Philippines.
Support the directors during overseas or domestic project travel when required, with applicable travel allowances provided for site and client visits within the Philippines.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) required; Master of Architecture (M.Arch) strongly preferred.
Minimum 3–5 years of post-graduate architectural design experience on high-end projects (hospitality, commercial, or mixed-use). Healthcare experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
Proficient in: Autodesk Revit, SketchUp, Adobe InDesign, and at least one real-time rendering platform (Lumion, Enscape, or 3D Studio Max).
Competent in AI-assisted design tools (e.g., Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, AI-augmented BIM workflows) or demonstrable willingness to upskill rapidly.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language proficiency is an asset given the firm's regional project portfolio.
Must be based in Metro Manila, Philippines, with the flexibility to report to Makati co-working office as required.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
Driven and self-motivated, with a consistent record of delivering quality work under deadline.
Innovative thinker who questions convention and actively seeks better solutions.
