As a Junior Architect, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Design Director and Principal Medical Planner in the execution of architectural projects. You will be responsible for conducting research, preparing reports, coordinating with sub-consultants, and producing architectural drawings and renderings using various software applications. This position requires a strong foundation in architectural principles, proficiency in relevant software tools, and effective communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities:
-Report periodically and communicate with the Design Director and Principal Medical Planner to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
-Conduct thorough online research and compile insightful reports to support project decision-making.
-Collaborate effectively with sub-consultants to integrate their expertise into project deliverables.
-Prepare comprehensive planning submissions, performance specifications, Room Data Sheets (RDS), and renderings that meet the quality standards set by the Design Director and Principal Medical Planner.
-Utilize a range of software applications, listed in alphabetical order, to execute project tasks with precision and creativity:
Adobe Photoshop (good to know)
Adobe Illustrator and/or InDesign (optional)
Autodesk Revit (must be technically competent & proficient)
Autodesk AutoCAD (must be technically competent & proficient)
Microsoft Suite (must be technically competent & proficient):
a. MS Word: Draft project documents and reports.
b. MS Excel: Organize data and perform calculations.
c. MS PowerPoint: Create engaging presentations.
Rendering Software (at least one of the following):
a. 3D StudioMax
b. Lumion
c. V-Ray
d. Enscape
e. Equivalent software application
SketchUp (must be technically competent & proficient)
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (BS Arch) is required, demonstrating a solid foundation in architectural principles and practices.
A licensed architect is preferred
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of relevant work experience, showcasing proficiency in architectural design and project management.
Available to work eight (8) hours a day, Monday to Friday, with a willingness to put in overtime when necessary to meet client/project deadlines.
Must have access to personal device and reliable internet connection to facilitate remote work and collaboration.
