Interior Designer (High-End Health&Wellness) - remote

 Job Description:

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Interior Designer humanizes spaces for health and wellness by designing environments that feel familiar, warm, and calming, drawing directly on the resort, leisure, and hospitality design language clients love. What's needed is someone who already knows how to design beautiful, comfortable, guest-centered spaces, and who is excited to bring that same sensibility into settings that support people's health and recovery. This role is designed for an individual with a keen eye for taste and detail, based in Metro Manila to support periodic site visits and client engagements within the Philippines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Interior Design & Concept Development

  • Aid the Design Director(s) in developing interior design concepts, mood boards, material palettes, and finishing schedules for high-end, resort- and hospitality-styled health and wellness projects.
  • Translate architectural spatial intent into an interior language, balancing aesthetics, comfort, and the Salutogenic and biophilic qualities of light, texture, natural elements, and color.
  • Prepare interior design documentation including room finish schedules, furniture layouts, signage and wayfinding concepts, and loose furniture specifications.

Visualization & Presentation

  • Produce high-quality design presentations, interior visualizations, and mood collages using SketchUp, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or rendering platforms (Lumion, Enscape, or 3D Studio Max).
  • Prepare compelling client-facing decks that communicate design intent clearly, aided by a Design Director.
  • Leverage AI-assisted design tools, including Agentic AI and Machine Learning applications, to explore design options, accelerate visualization workflows, and contribute to the firm's innovation culture.

Research & Knowledge Sharing

  • Conduct structured research into resort and hospitality interior design trends, wellness-influenced guest experience models, and biophilic and Salutogenic design strategies, synthesizing findings with AI tools.
  • Proactively surface knowledge gaps, emerging products, or industry innovations to the firm's leadership to improve workflows and reduce waste and abortive work.
  • Maintain an organized library of material samples, product specifications, vendor contacts, finish references, and benchmarking data.

Collaboration & Project Support

  • Work closely with architects and medical planners, contributing independently while remaining a collaborative and communicative team member.
  • Assist in coordinating with furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) suppliers, obtaining quotations, and managing sample approvals.
  • Participate in client meetings, site visits, and workshops; assist in preparing meeting minutes, design reports, and project correspondence.
  • Report to the company's co-working office at Rockwell Power Plant Mall, Makati City, when required to support visiting Principal Consultants or attend client engagements in Makati or Quezon City, working alongside the firm's existing Manila-based licensed architect and Chief Operating Officer (COO), both of whom are based in the Philippines.
  • Support the Project Director during overseas or domestic project travel when required, with applicable travel allowances provided.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in resort, leisure, or hospitality interior design is required. Healthcare design experience is not necessary — the firm specializes in resort- and hospitality-styled health and wellness facilities, and a resort or leisure background is exactly the expertise being sought.
  • Fresh graduates with a demonstrably strong portfolio and a genuine passion for resort or hospitality design will also be considered.
  • Proficient in SketchUp and the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator); experience with rendering platforms (Lumion, Enscape, 3D Studio Max, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Competent in — or demonstrably enthusiastic about — AI-assisted design tools (e.g., Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Agentic AI workflows, AI mood-board generators).
  • Keen eye for detail, material selection, and spatial composition, with a portfolio that demonstrates design range and quality of finish.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language proficiency is an asset given the firm's regional project portfolio.
  • Must be based in Metro Manila, Philippines, with the flexibility to report to the Makati co-working office as required.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • A passionate and curious designer who finds meaning in the impact spaces have on people's wellbeing.
  • Creative and resourceful, with an ability to generate fresh ideas within project constraints and client budgets.
  • Innovative thinker who questions convention and actively seeks better design solutions.
  • Genuine team player who shares knowledge openly and lifts the capability of those around them.
  • Committed to continuous learning by attending CPD and design events, following international resort, hospitality, and wellness design trends, and bringing new insights back to the practice.
  • Receptive to feedback and transparent about challenges; treats every project as an opportunity to grow.
  • Organized, deadline-conscious, and comfortable working independently in a remote-first capacity.

REMUNERATION & BENEFITS

Remuneration will be discussed during the interview process and is commensurate with qualifications and experience. The overall package includes:

  • Annual Wage Supplement (AWS) and a performance-based bonus, tied to individual KPI achievement, to be discussed with the recruiting partner.
  • Domestic travel allowance for required visits to the Makati co-working office, client sites in Makati or Quezon City, and project sites within the Philippines.
  • Transport allowance (taxi / ride-hailing) for approved project-related travel.
