Role Introduction
The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations and ensuring the company's financial health, including managing the accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions. The incumbent will also be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies to support the company's overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversees the Finance team and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly/quarterly financial statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets.
- Manages the budgeting and forecasting process, works closely with Department Heads to develop and monitor the company's annual budget.
- Analyses financial data and provides recommendations to the Executive team on financial strategies, investments, and cost-saving measures, to facilitate management decisions.
- Collaborate with the management team on strategic planning and provide financial analysis to support key business decisions.
- Responsible for streamlining SOP, internal controls and processes, and identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function and across operational areas to drive operational efficiency.
- Ensures compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Manages the company's banking relationships and oversee cash management, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax payments.
- Leads the financial planning and analysis function, including developing long-term financial models and scenario planning.
- Oversees the company's risk management and internal control processes.
- Supports the setup of new business operations. Positively drive agreed initiatives, propose new initiatives, and adopt a sense of continuous improvement.
- Manage key stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and effective communication to drive financial initiatives and achieve business objectives.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA or equivalent qualification is necessary.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably in the entertainment or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial operations, consolidation, and audit processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Proficient in financial software and tools, including ERP systems, budgeting/forecasting software, and data analysis tools.
- Collaborative leadership style, with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
