Role Introduction

Reporting to the General Manager – Human Resources, the Senior Manager – Human Resources plays a key role in supporting the establishment and ongoing operation of the HR function at Kai Tak Sports Park. The role is responsible for end‑to‑end HR operations, including Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, HRIS, and Casual Staffing, ensuring efficient and compliant delivery across the employee lifecycle.

This position requires a seasoned HR professional who can operate with a high degree of autonomy, partner effectively with the business, and support organisational growth through sound HR practices and workforce solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for end‑to‑end HR operations, including Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, HRIS, and Casual Staffing, ensuring consistent, compliant, and high‑quality service delivery across the employee lifecycle.
  • Lead recruitment and workforce planning activities, partnering with business leaders to support organisational and event‑driven staffing requirements through effective sourcing, selection, onboarding, and workforce deployment.
  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and management of casual staffing to ensure operational readiness, scalability, and compliance with employment requirements.
  • Establish, review, and continuously enhance HR policies, guidelines, and operational processes to support business growth, efficiency, and governance.
  • Act as a trusted HR advisor to line managers, providing professional guidance on employee relations, performance management, disciplinary matters, and policy interpretation.
  • Manage relationships with external service providers and vendors for employee benefits, including MPF, medical, dental, and insurance programs, ensuring service quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Lead the implementation, optimisation, and governance of the Human Resources Management System, ensuring data integrity, effective reporting, and system adoption across the organisation.
  • Oversee payroll coordination and HR data accuracy, ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal control requirements.
  • Prepare and analyse HR management reports, workforce data, and insights to support informed decision‑making by senior management.
  • Lead, coach, and develop HR team members, fostering collaboration, capability building, and a high‑performance culture.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver integrated HR solutions aligned with organisational priorities.
  • Ensure all HR activities comply with local employment legislation, company policies, and governance standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline; professional HR qualifications (e.g. CIPD, SHRM) are an advantage.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of broad HR generalist experience, with demonstrated experience operating at a senior or managerial level within complex organisations.
  • Solid knowledge of Hong Kong employment legislation, HR best practices, and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Proven capability to lead HR operations independently, exercising sound judgment and prioritisation in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong experience in recruitment, workforce planning, and staffing operations, including exposure to casual or event‑based workforce models.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a credible HR advisor to management, handling employee relations matters with professionalism, discretion, and consistency.
  • Hands‑on experience with HR systems and data management, such as Workday, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms, including reporting and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate data and insights into practical HR solutions.
  • Well‑developed stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organisation.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; experience with HR reporting tools is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills with good command of spoken and written English, Cantonese, and Putonghua.
    
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered for the position of Manager - Human Resources.
