About the job Receptionist (Front-of-House)
Department : Event Operations
Reports to : Assistant Manager
Role Introduction
The Receptionist sits within the Event Operations department and will work closely with the staff from other teams on day-to-day operations of the Indoor Sports Centre and the Youth Sports Ground to deliver world class experiences to all our guests. The role supports the Event Operations Department and wider KTSPL organisation to manage public facing interactions at both venues in addition to day-to-day administration work.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing information front-of-house duties and responding to difficult or emergency situations and cases.
- Oversee and install any necessary temporary signage and equipment.
- Play an active role in delivering guest service during operations Printed and digital.
- Help guests check-in and rental of equipment with the information provided in the Venue Booking System (VBS) platform and provide additional assistance when necessary.
- Assist as required with booking elements of facilities and assisting with any transactions.
- Identify and report issues that arise during programmes and activities.
- Providing usher service, operation, and event support from information desk
- Take account of equipment and uniform inventories for the Guest Services department.
- Communicate with relevant departments on customer feedback to review any possible remedial actions and future improvements.
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Cheerful, polite, organised and self-motivated.
- A collaborator with strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent leadership skills, good logical thinking, strong problem-solving and negotiations skills.
- Be service-oriented with professional customer service skills and positive service attitude.
- Flexible approach to problem solving and issue resolution.
- Capable to manage ad-hoc and/or multiple assignments at one time.
- Be required to work on shift (5-day work week) according to the duty roster assigned including weekends and public holidays.
- Be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese. Proficiency in other languages is an advantage.
- Readiness to work on shift on event days, weekends and public holidays.
Preferred requirements
- First Aid certification.
- Experience managing a booking system i.e. VBS
