Role Introduction

Reporting to the General Manager Human Resources, the role of the Senior/Manager - People Development & Engagement is responsible for driving learning and development initiatives, including compliance training, researching and explaining employment laws, fostering a positive organisational culture, enhancing employee engagement, identifying and addressing employee performance and development needs and employer branding. This role will also oversee internal communication channels, manage leadership visibility, and communicate critical HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for compliance training and development including audit exercise.
  • Research and explain laws and legal affairs concerning employment to managers, supervisors, and employees.
  • Advises and trains managers and supervisors in best employee relations practices and strategies for managing supervisor problems and employee grievances. Develops further training as needed.
  • Talent engagement to bind engaged talents, help attracting and retaining talents and high performers.
  • Performance management to ensure managers and employees conduct continuous performance and development dialogues in order to assess and review employees' objectives and overall contribution to the organization.
  • Lead and develop Employee Communications and Experience initiatives.
  • Develop and implement communication programmes that inspire and help employees understand the leadership principles, corporate goals, processes, organisational structure and vision of senior leadership.
  • Support the development and delivery of leadership communications, townhall events, and leadership meetings, designed to engage employees and communicate a clear strategy for the group.
  • Advise on employee communication and engagement best practice to positively influence communications within the business functions.
  • Review the effectiveness of internal communication channels.
  • Manage the internal leadership visibility programme, identify opportunities for leadership exposure and involvement.
  • Integrate employee communications and experience considerations into planning of major initiatives, events and announcements.
  • Be a champion for employee value proposition (EVP), and partner with HR, marketing and communications colleagues to promote the Company as an Employer of Choice both internally and externally.
  • Lead communications of the annual performance reviews and other critical HR initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in HR Management, Business Administration or related disciplines
  • Minimum 8 years solid experience in Talent Management & Development and Employee Engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of learning and development principles, instructional design, and adult learning methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to embrace new technologies and adapt to digital advancements in the field.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to design engaging learning experiences.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Good experience in talent engagement, employer branding, performance management and employee communication.
  • Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends and best practices.
  • Proficient in MS applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Excellent command of written and spoken in both English and Chinese.
